  • Updating all the instances again
    • Manual stopping, updating and starting of services

i solved it by uninstalling java, doing 2 repairs, rebooty, reinstall java and updating all intstances. I have to say that the update procedure is very delicate and error-sensitive.

The actual process only needs a single repair. It's an issue with Windows itself, Linux doesn't have this issue when updating as it doesn't insist on caching your assemblies.

Im am sorry to disagree. I needed to perform two repairs because the problem was not solved after one repair.
