Hello everyone!

I have some instances (most of them Minecraft ones) in a Debian 9.9 VPS. Minecraft instances are working properly, but I also have a L4D2 (srcds) instance that I don't use too much wich was also working properly... until now.

Today I wanted to start the server and I can not. I mean, I can login into the instance web panel; but when I click the 'Start' button nothing occurs. It becomes gray and, after one or two seconds, green again. Nothing is shown in console tab.

I took a look to the instance logs with not so much success:

I also tried to create a clean L4D2 instance with the same fail.

🤔 Is it possible that a new release could break something? Do I need to configure something more?

In order to do not make a giant message, I am not going to attach configuration files, but I'm pretty sure I did not change anything since server was working. But feel free to ask me to post anything you consider relevant.

Now I have no more time, but if I can, I will do more test on a clean AWS machine.

Thanks for your help!

During installation, did you pick the option to say that you were going to install srcds based servers?

Also try turning on diagnostics mode: https://github.com/cubecoders/amp/wiki/Diagnosing-AMP-issues

Thanks for your quick answer.

Answering your first question, i'm sorry but I don't remember this option. I did the installation a few months ago and, well, it worked properly.

About second question, here it is the log ➡ https://hastebin.com/dufizuwebi.makefile

Try running:

sudo apt-get install lib32gcc1 lib32stdc++6 lib32tinfo5

Try running:

sudo apt-get install lib32gcc1 lib32stdc++6 lib32tinfo5

Well, lib32tinfo5 was not installed; the other two was. Same result. Nothing different on log file.

I am installing AMP in a fresh AWS machine so as to test. I am going to edit this post when I finish tests.

Edit:

AWS Test was almost 100% successful. Server runs and you can play, but 'Active users' always shows 0/8 regardless of users are connected; also, console tab is always blank. Apart from that minor problems, my test machine is working.

So, what can I do? What I need to fix on my production server? 😕

Ok, finally fixed!

As, I suppose, old 'Game Server Account Token (GSLT)' ruines all. I noticed I forgot to fill this field in test server and it worked. So, I deleted it from my production server and... MAGIC! Everything is working properly (even user connected graph and console).

Thank you so much for your help. I hope this fix could help somebody.

Have a nice day! 😁
