This post is lacking a lot of details. You may want to review Read Me First - How to get an answer quickly and edit the post accordingly. This is helpful in all cases, but especially helpful if you are using a non-standard configuration of AMP. I presume you are on a home network based on your post, so there is additional configuration you need to do.
With that being said, being behind a NAT may present some issues - which is likely the case on a home network. The best I can advise without further information is that you should ensure the system hosting the server has a static IP set in the router's DHCP, and that the portforwarding is done to that static IP address.
How are you testing joining the server? I had one router in the past which would not allow local connections to my public IP address, even though it was correctly forwarded. Local connections had to use the local address, but this is not commonly the case from experience.
Ah thank you i did not give my server a static ip in the DHCP settings this resolved the issue!
