What happens when you hit the update button? Does AMP show anything in its logs?

I get this in the console, do I need to install the instance as regular minecraft and then switch to FTB maybe?

We appear to be missing one or more essential library files. You will need to add them to your server before FML and Forge will run successfully.java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: net.minecraft.launchwrapper.Launch at java.net.URLClassLoader.findClass(URLClassLoader.java:381) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:424) at sun.misc.Launcher$AppClassLoader.loadClass(Launcher.java:335) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:357) at java.lang.Class.forName0(Native Method) at java.lang.Class.forName(Class.java:348) at net.minecraftforge.fml.relauncher.ServerLaunchWrapper.run(ServerLaunchWrapper.java:44) at net.minecraftforge.fml.relauncher.ServerLaunchWrapper.main(ServerLaunchWrapper.java:31)

It means the installer didn't run, but normally AMP does this for you automatically.

I get this when I hit update

Not Supported

The selected server type cannot be automatically updated. Please supply a copy of ftbserver.jar in the Minecraft directory.

Thrown by the 'Core' plugin while performing the 'UpdateApplication' method.

What you need to do is run the FTB installer, then zip up everything it produces and copy that over then unzip it in AMP.
